Armenia provokes again, bracing for another defeat Pashinyan's short memory
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made several new provocative statements at today's government session. They contained everything - denial of the obvious, manipulation, and primitive lies. Yes, this is a common practice for him. But if the citizens of Armenia are ready to react calmly to Nikol Vovayevich's regular false statements, in Azerbaijan such lies are considered provocative, giving an extra reason to consider further negotiations with Armenia a useless waste of time. Judge for yourself.
Nikol Pashinyan made a truly immoral statement assessing the recent events on the conditional Armenian-Azerbaijani border. He called the destruction of a combat post of the Armenian Armed Forces "aggressive actions of Azerbaijan", without specifying where the Azerbaijani border guards were fired from. Although everything is more than obvious here. After all, a serviceman of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan was wounded as a result of an Armenian sniper shot. Fortunately, he survived. But he could have been killed too! In any case, it was the Armenian side that violated the ceasefire - this is an indisputable fact, confirmed even by some Armenian experts. It is also indisputable that it is Azerbaijan which is interested in peace and tranquility in the region.
Let us recall that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, while receiving in Baku the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Martin Chungong, made a very important statement. "... a state of peace has prevailed along the border of the two countries for several months."
Undoubtedly, Azerbaijan had grounds for the toughest response. And it was given. And now Pashinyan is saying that four Armenian servicemen were killed. At the same time, he never bothered to answer what Yerkrapah fighters were doing at that post. They should not have been there, but they were, which suggests that the Armenian side was planning to use Yerkrapah fighters for provocations.
But that is not all. Pashinyan pretends that he does not understand the obvious - a legitimate target for retaliatory strikes by the Azerbaijani army is any point, including those on the territory of Armenia, from which they fired on our positions. That is exactly why during the 44-day war Azerbaijan destroyed two Elbrus anti-tank missile systems on the territory of Armenia. This was done after missile strikes on peaceful Azerbaijani cities were launched from Armenian territory.
Only after such bloody steps from the Armenian side, the order for the implementation of which was given by Nikol Pashinyan personally, and only after Azerbaijan received information that the Elbrus missile systems were put on alert and aimed at the cities and districts of the country, were they destroyed. As it was then, so it is now.
Let us also recall that the 44-day war broke out after the Armenian Armed Forces shelled the Azerbaijani army positions along the front line and villages located in the frontline zone in the territory of Tartar, Aghdam, Fuzuli and Jabrayil districts in the morning of September 27, 2020, with large-calibre weapons, mortars and artillery units, resulting in civilian casualties. This was the last straw for Azerbaijan.
As a result, our army won a historic victory in the 44-day war, defeating the Armenian army and liberating most of the previously occupied territories of the country. And no attempts of meddling on the part of the patrons of Armenia, first of all, Macron's France, stopped the victorious march of our army. It will be the same now if Yerevan does not stop its policy of provocations. It is not for nothing that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated in his inaugural speech that "Armenia seems to have forgotten the results of the Second Karabakh War". The head of state is right. We see Nikol Pashinyan cynically trying to justify new provocations committed by the Armenian side. Azerbaijan will not tolerate it silently, the response will always be harsh. And Pashinyan's hopes for the intercession of France or other patrons of Armenia will again be in vain.
