31 May 2024 12:38
Armenia's ruling Civil Contract deputies are drafting legislation to impose taxes on church properties, Caliber.Az reports quoting Armenian media outlets.
Although no official documents have been finalized, Civil Contract deputy Tsovinar Vardanyan stated in Parliament that work is underway in this regard.
Vardanyan emphasized the need to clarify the specifics of the taxation, highlighting that while church ministers may already pay income taxes, the focus now is on evaluating various church-owned properties such as commercial, public, industrial areas, and residential houses.
