Azerbaijan, Israel discuss prospects of cooperation in healthcare sector PHOTO

The Azerbaijani Health Ministry hosted a meeting with Asher Shalmon, general manager of international relations department of the Israeli Health Ministry.

After greeting the guests Health Minister Teymur Musayev underlined that Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation in the field of health and medical science is exemplary: "We are pleased with the cooperation of our countries in high-tech fields of health - virology, microbiology and other areas of health, Report informs.

Teymur Musayev expressed hope for further successful cooperation between the ministries of health of the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Asher Shalmon noted that the two countries have close ties in many areas. He also expressed interest in raising the cooperation with the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan to a higher level.

During the meeting the importance of representation of Israeli pharmaceutical companies in Azerbaijan was emphasized. In addition, views were exchanged on improvement of training of medical personnel, development of double diploma program, establishment of cooperation on introduction of digitalization of health systems, organization of mutual visits of heads of health ministries of our countries and other issues of mutual interest.
