Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia mull prospects for cooperation in social sphere PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia discussed further cooperation in the social sphere.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili.
Caliber.Az reports citing the ministry that the meeting highlighted the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2021 between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia.
In addition, the relevance of the 5th Conference of Labour Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries, which will be held in Baku on November 21-23, was underlined. It was stressed that this international event will contribute to expanding cooperation between the OIC countries in the field of labour, employment and social protection.
The meeting noted the great potential between the two countries to expand cooperation and active exchange of experience in many areas, including labour, and views were exchanged on future cooperation in the social sphere.
