Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia strengthen business ties through trade house
Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are intensifying efforts to boost bilateral business relations through a series of initiatives spearheaded by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy. These efforts include plans to open an Azerbaijani Trade House in Jeddah or Riyadh, expand export opportunities, and attract Saudi investment through targeted business meetings and presentations in Baku.
A key development in this process is the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council, which has already held six meetings across Riyadh, Baku, and Shusha, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
These gatherings have facilitated direct contact between businesspeople from both nations, focusing on sectors such as industry, agriculture, tourism, food, construction, logistics, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and more.
At the Council meetings, Azerbaijani representatives presented the country’s business and investment climate, highlighting support mechanisms for both local and foreign entrepreneurs. In turn, Saudi business delegates were introduced to cooperation prospects and export potential in Azerbaijan.
B2B meetings accompanying the Council sessions allowed small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from both countries to exchange experience, explore joint initiatives, and discuss the organisation of future business missions and collaborative events. The discussions emphasised building long-term partnerships and developing concrete investment projects.
KOBIA noted that continuous dialogue between the two nations' business circles remains a top priority, with a focus on shifting negotiations toward practical cooperation and tangible outcomes.
