Azerbaijan, Serbia ink military cooperation plan for 2025 PHOTO
A delegation from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence, led by the Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, has concluded a successful visit to the Republic of Serbia, resulting in the signing of a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2025.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held talks with their Serbian counterparts to enhance bilateral military relations. Mr. Predrag Bandić, Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Sector of Serbia, received the delegation, marking the commencement of official discussions, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
A bilateral meeting followed, during which representatives from both countries' International Military Cooperation Departments reviewed the progress of existing military ties. The discussions focused on the current state of cooperation, the implementation of the 2024 military cooperation plan, and areas of mutual interest. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the achievements made so far, underscoring the positive trajectory of their collaboration.
As part of the program, the Azerbaijani delegation toured Serbia's Peacekeeping Operations Center, gaining insights into the centre’s activities and operational framework. This visit highlighted both nations' shared commitment to international peacekeeping efforts.
The official proceedings concluded with the signing of the "Military Cooperation Plan for 2025," reaffirming the countries' dedication to strengthening their defence partnership. The agreement sets a strategic framework for continued collaboration between the Ministries of Defence of Azerbaijan and Serbia, reflecting their shared vision for regional and international security.
