Azerbaijani athlete grabs gold medal in Türkiye

Three Azerbaijani wrestlers have climbed to the podium at the Champions Tournament in the U-20 age group in the Turkish city of Antalya.

Azerbaijani wrestler Esmer Cankurtaran (53 kg) won the gold medal on the second day of the women's competition, according to Azertac.

Azerbaijani athletes Ruslan Abdullayev (61 kg) and Anar Jafarli (92 kg) grabbed bronze in the freestyle wrestling competitions.

The 26th Edition of Traditional International Juniors “Champions’ Tournament in Free Style, Greco-Roman and Woman Wrestling kicked off on March 16 and will complete on March 18.
