Azerbaijani karatekas win bronze medals at EURO 2022

The European Karate Championship is being held in Gaziantep (Turkiye).

Our kata team (Ismayil Guliyev, Tural Baljanli and Rovshan Aliyev) won the tournament's bronze medals, defeating the Croatian team, azerisport.com reports.

On the fifth and last day, the men's karate team (Panah Abdullayev, Tural Aghalarzade, Rafael Aghayev, Asiman Gurbanli, Rafiz Hasanov, Turgut Hasanov and Aykhan Mamayev) will also take to the tatami. The team will hold the final meeting with the French team.

Also, parakarateka Eldar Ahmadov (K30) will perform in the final.

Earlier, the parakaratekas won two medals: Emilia Militinova (K10) became first, Nihat Mammadzade (K10) was content with silver.

In the women's competition, Madina Sadigova (55 kg) won bronze.
