Drone falls on residential building in central Chisinau

A drone fell onto the roof of a multi-story residential building in central Chisinau during the night of April 28, according to Radio Moldova.

Witnesses told journalists that the unmanned aerial vehicle came down at around 1:00 a.m. local time. No explosion followed the falling, and no injuries were reported.

Police officers who arrived at the scene carried out a precautionary evacuation of residents from the building. After the drone was removed and sent for examination, authorities allowed residents to return to their apartments.

There is currently no confirmed information regarding the origin of the drone, including where it was manufactured or from where it was launched.
