Economy Ministry holds meeting on COP29 in Azerbaijan PHOTO

The Azerbaijani Economy Ministry has held a videoconference meeting to discuss the issues arising from the meeting chaired by President Ilham Aliyev in connection with the holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29 in Azerbaijan next year.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf and heads of structural divisions of the ministry attended the event, the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry told Caliber.Az.

During the meeting, SOCAR demonstrated a presentation on exemplary international experience related to the COP, as well as information on the benefits that the COP provides to host countries in achieving climate goals.

“COP29 will become an important international platform for solving the most relevant global problems of humanity. The holding of this event in Azerbaijan confirms our country’s position as a responsible and reliable partner in solving global problems,” the Ministry of Economy said.
