Kazakhstan’s educational exhibition in Baku opens doors to new opportunities for Azerbaijani students
An educational exhibition featuring more than 20 universities from Kazakhstan has officially opened in Baku, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral cooperation in higher education.
The two-day event provides an opportunity for Azerbaijani students to explore various academic programs offered by top universities in Kazakhstan. The exhibition is the first of its kind and aims to foster closer educational ties between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, emphasized the importance of the event, stating that it would lay the groundwork for future collaboration in the higher education sector.
“This exhibition is a milestone in strengthening the educational ties between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan,” Bayel said during the opening ceremony.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, expressed his optimism about the exhibition’s impact, noting that it would provide Azerbaijani students with valuable opportunities to expand their educational horizons.
Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, announced that, starting next year, 12 places will be allocated for Azerbaijani students at Kazakh universities, with plans to increase the number to 40 in the coming years.
This initiative reflects Kazakhstan’s commitment to offering more educational opportunities for students from Azerbaijan. The exhibition is being organised as part of a visit by a delegation of Kazakh university rectors to Azerbaijan. The event is free of charge and open to all interested attendees.
