Magnitude 6.1 quake strikes off Russia’s Kamchatka coast

An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale was recorded off the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula.
The epicentre was located about 318 kilometres from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 43.8 kilometres, according to Kamchatka's branch of the Federal Research Centre for Earth’s Internal Structure of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Authorities said there have been no reports of damage resulting from the quake.
