Minister: Aghdam to become one of most beautiful green cities in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev has said that a tree planting campaign is underway in Aghdam on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev.

“Some 500 trees were planted, there is a drip irrigation system on the territory. We believe that Aghdam will become one of the most beautiful green cities in Azerbaijan,” Babayev told journalists in Aghdam, Azertac regional correspondent reports from the scene.

“Our wide-ranging activity includes conservation measures and tree planting campaigns. These actions will last until late 2023,” he said.
