Nearly 100 injured during protests in Armenia
Armenia's Ministry of Health announced on June 13 that nearly 100 people sought medical assistance during protests in Armenia, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.
"Following events on Baghramyan Avenue, 98 civilians and police officers sought medical help," the ministry's statement said.
Of those, 66 people were discharged after receiving necessary medical care. Another 32 patients are still receiving treatment for minor to moderate injuries.
Earlier, on June 12, a crowd of protesters gathered in front of the parliament during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's speech, calling for his resignation. The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the police detained 42 demonstrators. Clashes broke out between protesters and law enforcement officers.
Later, the Armenian police reported 98 detained participants of the protest near the parliament in Yerevan.
