Parliament Speaker lashes out at Belgian parliament resolutions on Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova has fulminated against five one-sided and biased resolutions adopted in the Belgian parliament against Azerbaijan over the past three years.

Sahiba Gafarova said this today at a meeting with visiting Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib, Report informs.

She emphasized that those resolutions incorrectly reflect the situation in the region, noting that the visit of Belgian parliamentarians only to Armenia upsets the balance in relation to the regional countries.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova recalled that Azerbaijan sent invitations to the leadership of the Belgian parliament, the head of the friendship group and other parliamentarians, noting that such visits would provide more accurate and reliable information about the situation in Azerbaijan, the region, especially in Karabakh. This is important from the point of view of understanding the current situation, our attitude towards the inhabitants of Karabakh Armenian - Azerbaijani citizens.
