Rare earth elements reserves found in Türkiye
Rare earth elements reserves have been found in Türkiye's Eskisehir.
Reserves are able to meet world needs for a thousand years, Russia's news website Prime reports, quoting Türkiye newspaper.
"Some 694 million tonnes of rare earth elements have been discovered in Eskisehir. After processing, they will contribute billions of dollars to the country's economy. Metin Chekic, a member of the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Association of Exporters of Minerals and Metals (IMIB), said that the Turkish reserves of rare earth elements are able to meet world needs for 1000 years," the newspaper writes.
"It will also create jobs for the local population and our youth. The excavation of our mines will allow our country to become one of the leading countries in the world," he said.
