Rep: EU helps Azerbaijan to develop transport, digital connectivity projects
Oliver Varhelyi, the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, has said that the organisation helps Azerbaijan to develop transport and digital connectivity projects.
He made the remarks at a meeting with Azerbaijani Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev, Caliber.Az reports, citing Varhelyi's Twitter account.
"Good meeting with Azerbaijani Minister Rashad Nabiyev. Through the EIP, the EU is assisting Azerbaijan to develop transport and digital connectivity projects bringing Europe and its neighbours closer. These strategically important projects will boost growth and jobs across the European continent and beyond," Varhelyi tweeted.
Furthermore, Nabiyev discussed issues of transport cooperation with the European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean during a working visit to the capital of Belgium - Brussels, Report informs with reference to the Azerbaijani Digital Development and Transport Ministry.
Issues related to holding the second meeting of the high-level transport dialogue in Baku were also discussed at the meeting. The parties also exchanged views on cooperation in the field of aviation, including the implementation of projects within the framework of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), joining the Zangazur corridor to these networks in the future.
