Russian authorities extend ban on flights to 11 airports in southern Russia

Russian Aviation Department (Rosaviatsiya) for the 17th time in a row decided to extend the ban on flights to 11 airports in the central and southern parts of Russia. Restrictions were introduced on February 24 due to the start of the Russian “military operation” in Ukraine. The ban is valid until 3:45 Moscow time on June 21, the department said.
Flights to airports in Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista have been suspended. As an alternative, the Federal Air Transport Agency recommends using airports in Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol and Moscow.
