Shusha Global Media Forum mulls AI impact on journalism
Wide-ranging discussions on the transformation of the digital media environment, as well as on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on journalism and the media sphere, have taken place in the Shusha Global Media Forum.
Azerbaijani Media Development Agency Executive Director Ahmad Ismayilov made the statement in a conversation with journalists on the results of the Global Forum "New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution" held to mark the 148th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, Report informs.
"The Global Media Forum is being held in our native Shusha. President Ilham Aliyev's participation on the first day of the forum was very important. The participants watched the forum with great interest. Questions from over 60 local journalists and heads of media entities were answered in almost three hours. In his speech, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev defined directions of reforms in the media sector in the country," he said.
According to him, the main goal of the Shusha Global Media Forum was to more accurately track, discuss and exchange views on the processes taking place in modern media.
"Also, the major purpose of holding such forums is integration and unified application of processes carried out in the sphere of media literacy in the Azerbaijani media and society to the processes unfolding globally," Ismayilov emphasised.
Some 150 foreign guests are attending the event from 49 countries, including representatives of state information agencies from 34 countries, 12 international organisations, and media structures.
