Situation in Armenian Armed Forces is worse now than at end of 2020 war – pundit
A PhD in International Relations and lecturer at the University of Leicester (UK) Eduard Abrahamyan has said that the situation in the Armenian Armed Forces is worse now than it was at the end of war in 2020.
"In terms of the reforms announced by the Armenian authorities in the army and the speed of their implementation, I can say that according to my observations the reforms that have been announced, are not tangible," Abrahamyan said in his interview with Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.
"Effective are those reforms that are tangible from the outside, i.e. for a researcher from the outside, not from inside the system. And as far as I understand now the situation is much worse, at least in management, in moral and psychological state and in terms of modernization of military equipment. Personally, I don't see any progress, maybe I'm wrong, but my contacts here are quite wide, and it's not only the problem of armament, but also the moral-psychological state of the soldiers, which has become worse than it actually was at the end of the war in 2020," the expert noted.
