Türkiye strives for long-lasting peace in Ukraine

Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar has highlighted Ankara's steps to bring peace to Ukraine.

“We oppose the transformation of the Black Sea region into a zone of strategic confrontation. Türkiye is committed to a ceasefire and long-term peace in Ukraine,” the minister said while speaking in the province of Tokat on January 6, Anadolu reports.

Akar also noted that since the beginning of August last year, about 17 million tons of agricultural products have been exported through the "grain corridor" from the ports of Ukraine.
