The attack, carried out by PKK proponents took place on March 26 at the entrance of the diplomatic building and resulted in no casualties.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry contacted German authorities after the attack, reminding them of their responsibility to protect Turkish citizens and diplomatic missions. The ministry emphasized the need to prevent actions that provoke the Turkish community in Europe and cited an increase in provocations by the PKK aimed at disrupting the peace within the community.
"Thanks to the common sense of our citizens, these provocations did not turn into major events. Türkiye expects the relevant countries to prevent such actions by supporters of the terrorist organisation and to bring the perpetrators of this attack to justice as soon as possible," the Foreign Ministry said.
