Azerbaijan boosts Army psychologists' skills with international training
The Military Administration Institute of the Azerbaijani National Defence University has conducted an advanced training program focused on “Psychological Assessment Procedures” for psychologists serving in the Azerbaijan Army.
The specialized training, aimed at elevating the professional competencies of military psychologists, was conducted with the participation of invited experts from the Republic of Bulgaria, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
The program featured comprehensive sessions on psychological evaluation techniques, including the assessment of conscripts’ mental health during their enlistment process and the identification and diagnosis of trauma-related conditions that may arise during active service.
Participants received in-depth briefings on the methodologies employed by Bulgarian Army psychologists, gaining insight into both theoretical frameworks and field-tested, practical approaches to psychological support within military environments.
A central focus of the training was the continuous evaluation of psychological fitness throughout a soldier’s service period. The sessions were delivered in an interactive format, enabling attendees to apply newly acquired knowledge through hands-on exercises and scenario-based simulations.
