Azerbaijan reveals details of high-speed road being built in Karabakh VIDEO
The construction of the new high-speed road Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha continues at a rapid pace in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region.
Commenting on the project, Anar Najafli, the spokesman for the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, said that the road will play a key role in the socioeconomic development of Azerbaijan’s liberated lands, Caliber.Az reports.
The 81.6-kilometre-long road is for the most part six-lane, with three lanes in each direction (total width 37.7 to 29.5 metres), and only in the highland section will it be four-lane (total width 21.5 metres).
Seven tunnels with a total length of 6,358 metres, nine viaducts with a total length of 1,980 metres and 30 underpasses are being built along the road.
The Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha road originates from the M6 Hajigabul-Horadiz-Aghband-Zangazur corridor and runs through the territories of the liberated Fizuli, Khojavand, Khojali and Shusha districts of Azerbaijan.
