Azerbaijan's defence minister visits Vietnam to mark national celebrations

The Defence Minister of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, is on an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. 

Thus, on September 2, Colonel General Hasanov attended the ceremony in Hanoi marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day, Caliber.Az reports citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.

The event at Ba Dinh Square drew state officials, foreign delegations, and large crowds of citizens, celebrating Vietnam’s historic struggle for independence and its progress towards national unity and socialist development.

The programme featured official speeches, literary and artistic performances, a military orchestra, cultural showcases, and a military parade.

During his visit, Colonel General Hasanov is expected to hold talks with Vietnam’s top political and military leaders.
