Azerbaijan's state service alerts public about COP29 cyber fraud
The State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan warns of fake pages related to COP29.
Prior to the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held this year in Azerbaijan, more and more fake resources related to the event appear, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Some of them are aimed at information manipulation, the rest are created by cyber fraudsters who post ads in social networks about allegedly open vacancies within COP29, and publish fake information on various business platforms and job search sites.
The State Service reports that together with the COP29 Security Management Centre, 15 fake information resources have been identified and blocked on the territory of the country. The agency urges citizens to trust only official sources and not to trust fake campaigns spread on social networks.
