Azerbaijan trains national mine experts PHOTO
Specialists from the Azerbaijan Mine Clearance Agency's Training and Methodological Support Department have conducted an EOD-1 training "Destruction of Explosive Ordnance" for 12 agency employees in accordance with International Mine Clearance Standards (IMAS).
ANAMA employees were trained in the handling of mines and unexploded ordnance, their assessment of the degree of danger, transportation, familiarisation with explosives, methods of neutralisation in various ways, and report preparation during the three-week course, Caliber.Az reports.
It should be noted that two-week classes covering theoretical training were held at the Agency's regional centre in Geigel, and practical classes using best practices and methods of mine clearance were held at the regional centre in Horadiz.
