Azerbaijan, Yemen discuss prospects of multilateral cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Yemeni counterpart Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak, who arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the Non-Aligned Movement's Contact Group in response to COVID-19, have met to discuss prospects of multifaceted cooperation.
At the meeting, the two ministers focused on prospects for cooperation in the economic, trade, humanitarian, educational and other fields, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The ministers exchanged views on cooperation issues within the international organisations, in particular, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement.
Bayramov informed Awad bin Mubarak about the 30-year occupation of the Azerbaijani territories by Armenia and the remaining mine threat.
Awad bin Mubarak also expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's work within the Non-Aligned Movement for organising a high-level Baku summit of the contact group in response to COVID-19.
He expressed Yemen's interest in strengthening cooperation and intensifying solidarity with Azerbaijan.
The regional security issues were discussed at the meeting.
