Azerbaijani army uncovers abandoned Armenian stronghold in Karabakh
Following the anti-terrorist operation conducted by the Azerbaijani army in the Karabakh economic region, yet another abandoned stronghold of the Armenian armed forces has been discovered.
The Ministry of Defence informed Caliber.Az about the findings, which included 1 T-72B tank, 4 D-20 artillery units, 3 Ural military vehicles, one KamAZ carrying artillery shells, and various special equipment. These were safely removed from the stronghold located in the forest zone of Agdara District.
The discovery of firearms aimed towards Sugovushan and nearby settlements, positioned beyond the line of contact established after November 10, 2020, suggests their involvement in military provocations against Azerbaijan. The significant quantity of weapons and heavy military machinery unearthed in Karabakh underscores the region's transformation into one of the most heavily militarized zones globally.
Armenia's failure to withdraw its troops from Azerbaijani territory following the Tripartite Statement of November 10, 2020, is evident in the illegal transfer of ammunition, including recently produced mines, into the Karabakh economic region.
Additionally, Armenia mined approximately 480 km of territory along the line of contact, established over 500 combat positions and fortified firing points, set up more than 350 artillery firing positions, installed reconnaissance and surveillance equipment, and concentrated forces within the Karabakh region.
