Azerbaijani commando units hold exercises to improve skills PHOTO

The commando units of the Azerbaijani Army have conducted special tactical training, according to the training plan for 2024 approved by the Minister of Defence.

Based on the intelligence received, the commando units left the point of permanent deployment and moved in the direction of the supposed area where the sabotage group of the mock enemy planned to commit sabotage, as part of the training, the defence ministry’s website reported on January 10.

Having penetrated deep into the operation area, the commandos successfully completed the tasks of identifying and besieging temporary shelters of a mock enemy, neutralizing it, evacuating the wounded and other actions.

The main goal of the exercises, conducted in harsh climatic conditions, is to further improve the practical skills of military personnel, increase the combat effectiveness of units, and apply camouflage measures under the terrain and weather conditions.
