Azerbaijani deputy defence minister meets with Turkish consul general

Deputy Defence Minister, Commander of Azerbaijan’s Land Forces, Lt. Gen. Anvar Afandiyev, met with newly-appointed Turkish Consul General Recep Oztop in the of city Ganja on February 1.

During the meeting, Afandiyev welcomed Oztop, congratulated him on his new appointment and wished him success in future activity, according to Caliber.Az.

He emphasized that military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is based on friendly and brotherly relations.

Oztop expressed gratitude for the sincere reception and trust that bilateral cooperation will continue to develop in an upward direction.

The officials also discussed topics of mutual interest.
