Azerbaijani diplomat shares old Guardian article about Armenian looting of Lachin, Shusha VIDEO
Azerbaijani Consul-General to Los Angeles Nasimi Aghayev has shared on his official Twitter account another article about the Armenian looting and burning of Lachin and Shusha back in 1992.
"Another article I found in archives. This one is from The Guardian showing the massive looting and burning of Lachin and Shusha after their invasion by Armenia in 1992. It also describes how Armenian soldiers were desecrating the Azerbaijani mosque in Shusha," Agahayev tweeted.
Furthermore, Elman Muradov, a Twitter user, shared a video clip depicting a group of Armenians after Lachin's occupation setting fire to a Lithuanian flag, which they mistakenly accepted as Azerbaijani.
"Imagine a tribe. The best (perhaps the only) thing they can do is [to] burn. Without even knowing what they were burning. Ten days after the occupation of Lachin. The flag of the Lithuanian SSR is burned, mistaking it for the Azerbaijani flag," the user wrote.
