Azerbaijani internal troops fulfill all tasks in liberated lands - deputy minister

Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of the Internal Troops, Lt-Gen Shahin Mammadov has said that the Azerbaijani internal troops fulfill all tasks in liberated lands.

He made the remarks at a meeting of the Military Council, dedicated to the results of service and combat activity in 2022 and the upcoming tasks, which was held at the main department of the Internal Troops, Report informs.

“The personnel of the Internal Troops of the Interior Ministry over the past year has fulfilled all the tasks set to ensure the security and protect strategic facilities,” Mammadov said.

He noted that all tasks in the liberated territories were also completed.

Then, First Deputy Commander of the Internal Troops, Chief of Staff, Major General Tofig Huseynov made a report on the results of service and combat activity for 2022.

He said that during the year, the Internal Troops were involved in maintaining public order and ensuring public security during the Teknofest Azerbaijan event, Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix competitions and other important international events.

Huseynov noted that the Internal Troops successfully completed all the service and combat tasks assigned to them during international events.

Combat training was carried out in the Internal Troops on the basis of the requirements of the corresponding directive over the past year, and the level of qualification, firearms and physical training of military personnel was increased.

The joint special tactical exercises were organised to improve the joint work of the military units of the Internal Troops and the territorial police departments.

The internal troops have consistently continued taking measures to strengthen the material and technical base, bring the barracks and living conditions of the personnel in line with modern standards over the past year.

Then the reports of the commanders of military units and their deputies on the work carried out during 2022 were heard.

While summing up the results of the meeting, Lieutenant-General Mammadov expressed confidence that the personnel of the internal troops of the Interior Ministry would continue to completely fulfill the tasks, wished the servicemen success in their activity.
