Azerbaijani Ministry of Health expanding cooperation with Israel
As part of a working visit to our country on May 13, a delegation of the Sheba Medical Center, one of the most prestigious medical centers in Israel and the world, met with the leadership of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.
The ministry's press service told Caliber.Az that the meeting was also attended by Israel's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to our country, George Dick.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev stressed that the Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science, as in all areas of cooperation between our countries, is exemplary: of the COVID-19 pandemic, is constructive.”
Stressing that the use of digital technologies is the basis of the reforms being carried out in the healthcare system, the minister noted that important steps have recently been taken towards the transition to electronic document management, the use of digital and innovative technologies in the healthcare system. “Improving the healthcare system is a priority issue for our country. Sheba Medical Center is one of the top ten hospitals in the world. Given this, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan is interested in cooperation with the Medical Center in this area,” the minister added.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Director of the Sheba Medical Center Yoel Har-Even stressed that the center is interested in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan on research in medical education, medical tourism, rehabilitation, digital transformation of healthcare, telemedicine and other areas. It was noted that the Medical Center offers long-term rehabilitation treatment in areas such as orthopedics, neurology, psychiatry, etc.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to fruitfully develop cooperation.
