East German Business Association head considers meeting with Azerbaijani president as crucial

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is visiting Germany to attend the 59th Munich Security Conference.

Aliyev met with Michael Harms, CEO of East German Business Association on February 17 in Munich, Caliber.Az reports.

After the meeting, commenting on its results to Real.TV correspondent, Harms said it was very important.

"We discussed with Mr. President economic issues, issues of production of 'green energy', the projects implemented at the expense of German investment in Azerbaijan, and logistics. The relations between Azerbaijan and Germany are stable and long-lasting, and we are grateful for this. The economic relations between our countries are developing successfully and positively - we saw more than 100 per cent growth of trade turnover in 2022. We also discussed planning of direct German investments in chemical and manufactory projects within the framework of the Middle Corridor," Harms said.
