Kazakhstan refuses to produce Sputnik V vaccine

Kazakhstan has stopped the production of the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus Sputnik V.

The head of the Health Ministry's Drug Policy Department Bauyrzhana Dzhusipova noted that currently, the republic does not feel the need for new volumes of the Russian drug, Russia's MK reports with reference to ORDA Telegram channel.

At the same time, the country, according to him, is increasing the production of its own QazVac vaccine.

Dzhusipov also said that Kazakhstan is currently negotiating the purchase of a new batch of the American Pfizer vaccine.
