Latvia interested in Turkish Tulpar heavy infantry fighting vehicle VIDEO
Turkish defence company OTOKAR is participating with the TULPAR heavy infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in the tender launched by the Latvian Ministry of Defence.

The IFV Hanwha K-21 and GDELS ASCOD 2 ACV from South Korea are also represented in the tender.
The Tulpar heavy infantry fighting vehicle was developed under the requirements of the 21st century and the needs of ground forces and special forces fighters, and its characteristics meet NATO standards, while the chassis of the IFV heavy infantry fighting vehicle can be used in the development of a medium tank.
MIZRAK is remote controlled turret system armed with a 30mm dual-fed automatic cannon and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun.
In addition to the main armor, the vehicle can be equipped with composite armor modules and active protection system to increase the level of protection. The armor provides protection against 12.7 mm and 14.5 mm small arms ammunition.
As a power plant is used a turbocharged diesel engine from Swedish company "Scania" with an output of 810 hp. Maximum speed on a flat surface 80 km/h, fuel range of 600 km.
The crew includes three people, troop capacity is eight infantrymen.
