Official: Azerbaijan to carry out resettlement of Sughovushan, Hadrut, Tugh, Aghdam in stages
The resettlement process will continue step by step in Sugovushan (Tartar), Hadrut and Tugh (Khojavand), as well as in the city of Aghdam and villages of the district starting next year.
The remarks came from Emin Huseynov, the Azerbaijani president’s special representative in the liberated territories within the Karabakh economic region (except for the Shusha region), at the scientific-practical conference "Investment attractiveness of the liberated territories" in Shamakhi, according to Report.
According to him, IDPs have already been returned to two liberated villages: “In subsequent periods, the number of migrants will increase. In particular, we expect that in the city of Lachin, in the villages of Zabuh and Sus of the district, as well as in the city of Fizuli, conditions for resettlement will be created by the end of this year.”
"Resettlement creates the need to open new jobs in these territories, and today's conference in Shamakhi is important in this regard. As of this year, Karabakh and East Zangazur have a special benefits and incentive regime for a period of 10 years," Huseynov added.
