Official: Moscow, Ankara have reliable communication channel via special services
Sergei Naryshkin, director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), has said that Moscow and Ankara have a reliable channel of communication through special services.
"Over the past few years, we have had quite active interaction with our Turkish colleagues. A new head [of Türkiye's intelligence service Ibrahim Kalin] has been appointed, I, of course, congratulated him almost on the same day," Naryshkin told TASS.
"So far there has been no meeting, but the interaction continues. We have a good reliable channel, there is an official representative of the Foreign Intelligence Service in Türkiye, as well as a representative of the Turkish intelligence service in Moscow," the SVR head said, commenting on Kalin's appointment as head of Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization.
Naryshkin did not rule out the possibility of a personal meeting with Kalyn in the foreseeable future.
