Russia boosts chemical exports to India by over 66% in 2025

Russia increased its chemical industry exports to India by 66.2 per cent in 2025, according to data published by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Mineral fertilisers accounted for around 90 per cent of the total exports, underscoring India’s strong demand for agricultural inputs. The ministry also noted growing Indian imports of Russian rubber products, organic chemicals, and plastic goods, Caliber.Az reports. 

Overall bilateral trade in chemical products exceeded $3.265 billion in 2025, the ministry said. This figure represents a 35.6 per cent increase compared with 2024, highlighting a continued expansion of trade ties between the two countries in the chemical sector.
