Russia develops station for controlling unlimited number of drones simultaneously
Russian specialists have developed a cutting-edge ground control station (GCS) capable of managing an unlimited number of drones from a single remote control.
This breakthrough technology was unveiled by an official representative of the Hermes design bureau, which is part of the Kaisant Scientific and Production Association, in an interview with TASS, according to Caliber.Az.
The GCS system features a team creation capability and can simultaneously activate hibernation mode for an entire army of drones.
"The GCS is already being used in the special operation zone and is a compact device into which our Hermes transmitter is inserted. With this installation, it is possible to control multiple drones simultaneously, as well as put an entire army of drones into hibernation mode. We can place any drones, including carts and boats, and control them from a single remote control by one operator," the representative explained.
The GCS is engineered to maintain its effectiveness even under challenging electronic warfare (EW) conditions.
"The system ensures effective operation even in electronic warfare (EW) conditions, allowing the use of two to four different communication channels simultaneously," the Hermes representative continued.
The system is also designed for seamless integration with various communication tools.
"The system supports integration with various communication tools, including RLS and Crossfire, and provides error-free software updates when necessary," they added.
This new GCS promises to further enhance Russia's drone operations, offering greater versatility and control on the battlefield.
