Türkiye, Algeria to set up joint oil, gas exploration company
Türkiye and Algeria will set up a joint oil and natural gas exploration company.
The company will work in the countries of the region, mainly in Algeria, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez told Anadolu Agency following a meeting with his Algerian counterpart Mohammed Arkab in Algiers.
According to the minister, the joint venture will be created by the Algerian state oil and gas company Sonatrach and the Turkish oil company Turkish Petroleum (TP).
Donmez noted that he discussed with his colleague new steps that can be taken in the field of energy and mining.
According to him, an agreement was also reached on measures to encourage and support the joint work of public and private institutions in this area both in Türkiye and Algeria.
