International Army Games-2022 with participation of Azerbaijan get rolling today
The International Army Games-2022 (IAG) will start today with 36 international competitions.
IAG-2022 will be held in 13 countries: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Iran, India, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan.
237 teams from 31 countries have confirmed their participation in the IAG-2022, the press service of the event organizers reports Report.
Azerbaijan will hold a "Sea Cup" competition for surface ships' crews, which will start on August 15.
Kazakhstan will host three competitions "Masters of Artillery Fire", "Tactical Shooter" and "Meridian". Armenia will host the "Warrior of Peace" competition. The Republic of Belarus will host "Reliant Reception", "Steel Road" and "Polar Star" contests. Iran has expressed a desire to hold "Depth", "Falconry" and "Sniper Frontier" contests for special forces. Uzbekistan will hold four contests - "Equestrian Marathon", "Loyal Friend", "Master Gunsmith" and "Safe Environment".
On the first day of the competition, August 13, Azerbaijani tank crews will compete with tank crews from Mongolia in the "Tank Biathlon" competition to be held at the Russian military training ground Alabino in Moscow.
Azerbaijani gunners will also take part in the "Masters of Artillery Fire" competition to be held in Kazakhstan.
The army games will continue until August 27.
