American journalists touring Shusha PHOTO

A group of American journalists and media experts have visited the city of Shusha as part of a trip to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

An employee of the Department of the Shusha City State Reserve told the American guests in detail about the history of the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, the historical architectural, cultural and religious monuments of the city that were vandalized during the years of Armenian occupation, Caliber.Az informs, citing the press service of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Diaspora Affairs.

Journalists received answers to their questions, including about the reconstruction and improvement works.

Members of the delegation visited the city's central square where "Shot Statues" of famous Azerbaijani cultural figures, the house of Khurshidbanu Natavan, "Khan Gizi Spring" (Spring of Khan's Daughter), Yukhara Govharag Mosque, Mollah Panah Vagif Mausoleum, Ganja Gate, Shusha Fortress and Jidir Duzu (Plain) were installed.

The delegation includes journalist Vusala Abbasova, who continues her studies at Yale University in the United States and works at the American Bureau of the Report News Agency, the head of the UN bureau Arab News Afram Kosafi, who for a long time worked as a military correspondent for the leading media structures of the world (Fox TV, CNN, Al Jazeera) in the conflict zones in Afghanistan, Iraq and South Lebanon, correspondent for the influential television network of the Republic of Colombia (Caracol TV and Canal 1) in New York and the capital Washington, well-known blogger Paola Vargas, founder and editor-in-chief of the Schirach Report Paolo von Shirach, photojournalist for the American Bureau of the Anadolu agency, founder of the Turkish Journal Seljuk Acar and president of RC Communications, a well-known journalist and political commentator Kelvin Dark.
