Türkiye presents BARBAROS long-range coastal missile system VIDEO
The Turkish defence company Roketsan has presented the BARBAROS coastal missile system, developed using national resources.
The BARBAROS system uses ATMACA anti-ship missiles with a range of more than 250 kilometres and CAKIR missiles with a range of more than 150 kilometres, Caliber.Az reports, citing the X page of SavunmaSanayiST.com.
It is designed to defeat surface ships of various classes and types from amphibious formations, convoys, ship and aircraft carrier strike groups, as well as single ships and ground-based radio-contrast targets in conditions of intense fire and electronic countermeasures.
To do this, the BARBAROS complex includes various radar and electro-optical systems.
The coast of Türkiye from three sides will be guarded around the clock by the command of the Navy with the help of the BARBAROS system. Thus, some critical points, especially in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas, will be in the range of anti-ship missiles of the complex.
