Azerbaijan: Artillery shell defused in Baku PHOTO/VIDEO
An artillery shell has been defused in the Azerbaijani capital Baku after the Emergencies Ministry hotline "112" received information about the discovery of ammunition in the capital's Garadagh district.
An operational group for mine clearance of the ministry's special risk rescue group immediately arrived at the scene, Caliber.Az reports citing the ministry press service.
After implementing appropriate security measures on the territory in collaboration with law enforcement officers, it was determined that the ammunition discovered at the scene of the incident was an 85-mm artillery shell suitable for combat use.
The ammunition was seized and removed from the area by the group's specialists for neutralisation.
During a subsequent inspection of the scene and its immediate surroundings, no other dangerous or suspicious objects were discovered.
