Work continues at an accelerated pace on the reconstruction of the Barda-Aghdam railway line.
The design of the 47.1-kilometre-long road was completed by over 90 per cent, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC press service told Caliber.Az.
The construction of 128 engineering structures has already been completed, including two bridges. In general, more than 70 per cent of construction work has already been completed.
The opening of the road is scheduled for the end of 2023.
The massive rehabilitation effort, which began immediately following the 44-day battle in 2020, has been supported by large-scale construction projects in the areas of energy, road and railway infrastructure, and airports.
Priorities for reconstruction include the construction of new transport and communication lines, as well as the restoration of historically existing roads.
