Azerbaijan discovers stone slab with inscription in ancient Aramaic PHOTO

A stone slab with an inscription in ancient Aramaic language was found on the territory of the Shaki-Zaqatala economic region of Azerbaijan.

The announcement came from PhD in History Akif Mammadli, according to APA.

"We can say that this discovery is important for the history of the region," Mammadli noted.

He underlined that the slab is at the stage of research, and so far it is illegal to give any other information.

There soon will be an event dedicated to the presentation of a stone slab and a museum, which contains thousands of exhibits reflecting the history of the region, the researcher said.
