Azerbaijan, Italy discuss military cooperation issues
The staff-level talks have been held in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku in line with the bilateral cooperation plan for 2024, signed between the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry and the General Staff of the Italian Republic.
The sides highlighted the positive impact of strengthening ties between the two countries on military affairs at the meeting, which was held at the International Military Cooperation Office of the Defence Ministry, the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Addressing the importance of regional and international security in the current climate, both sides emphasised the necessity of collaboration to ensure global peace.
A thorough exchange of views was conducted regarding the current state and future prospects of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy, focusing on such areas as military-technical and military-educational collaboration.
Following the presentations, answers were provided to questions of mutual interest. The meeting concluded with the signing of protocols.
