Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has said that the US is ready to support the expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC).

Azerbaijan and the United States also discussed increasing gas supplies to Europe, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.
“At the White House, we discussed the development of the SGC, the increase of gas supplies to Europe, the Green Energy export, and the reduction of methane emissions in a meeting with Sarah Ladislaw, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Climate and Energy,” the minister wrote on X.
In addition, energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States is assessed in terms of the development of green energy corridors, Shahbazov noted.
“In Washington, we had discussions with Jennifer Granholm, Secretary of U.S. Department of Energy, which updated our bilateral energy cooperation agenda in accordance with modern challenges. We evaluated Azerbaijan-US energy partnership at the level of development of #GreenEnergy corridors,” says the minister’s publication on X.
